Temecula Wireless Emergency Mesh (TWEM)
Open-source, public mesh network for communications
The TWEM is a public use Meshtastic/MeshCore network managed and maintained by Private Tier Solutions and other volunteers.
How you use TWEM is up to you, whether it be for use in an emergency such as California wildfires or to keep in touch with loved ones. Completely independent of public infrastructure, the TWEM consists of several solar-powered Meshtastic/MeshCore nodes placed in key locations to offer the best coverage over Temecula Valley and the surrounding areas. It allows for simple messaging between compatible Meshtastic/MeshCore devices paired to your phone. The network is always growing, if you would like to use the network or help support the network by hosting a relay node, please contact us and we will help you get set up.
For Meshtastic, we align ourselves with SoCalMesh. Join their Discord for guides on how to get started. TWEM uses the default MediumFast channel in frequency slot 45.
For MeshCore, we align ourselves with West Coast Mesh for the device settings. Join their Discord for guides on how to get started. If you do not have Discord, use Frequency 927.875, BW 62.5, SF 7, CR 5.

For beginners, we recommend the SenseCAP T1000-E. It works with both Meshtastic and MeshCore, while being both small and durable.
Want to host your own repeater and expand the mesh? Check out the SenseCAP Solar Node P1-Pro. It also works with both Meshtastic and MeshCore, requires very little assembly, and is nearly maintenance free.
